Reel King Megaways at SpinBuddha: Free Demo & Bonus
Reel King Megaways is the Megaways port of the UK’s most-played pub fruit machine, and at SpinBuddha it sits inside a 6,000-game catalogue alongside crypto cashouts (Bitcoin, Litecoin, Tether) that clear in under 24 hours. Inspired Gaming licensed both the Reel King IP from Novomatic and the Megaways engine from Big Time Gaming, then layered the original land-based mini-slot feature on top of a cascading 117,649-way grid. The signature element is the Ding: each cascade in the base game lights one reel yellow with an audible chime, and six lit reels trigger the Reel King feature instead of a scatter.

Game Mechanics
Six vertical reels display 2 to 7 symbols each, giving between 324 and 117,649 ways per spin. A horizontal top reel feeds symbols onto reels 2 to 6, and the Jester wild appears only on that horizontal strip, meaning reel 1 never carries a wild. Wins form left to right, three or more matching symbols on adjacent reels. Winning symbols vanish (cascades), new ones drop in, and each cascade lights one reel yellow with the trademark Ding.
When all six reels light up, the Reel King mini-slot launches. One or two cartoon Kings appear, each spinning its own 3-reel single-payline slot filled with coloured 7s. Mixed 7s pay 1×, blue 2×, yellow 5×, red 10×. The mini-slots respin until no win lands. If further cascades trigger after the sixth Ding, the feature upgrades: Super King (2–3 Kings, 8–20 Free Spins) or Mega King (3–6 Kings, 8–25 Free Spins).
🎯 Expert Tip: Don’t hunt scatters. There aren’t any. The only path to Free Spins is the cascade-driven Lit Reels meter, so base-game hit frequency depends entirely on how many consecutive wins you chain together.

Bonus Features
Free Spins start with a ×1 multiplier. Every cascade adds +1, and the multiplier never resets across the entire feature. There is no ceiling other than the 12,500× max-win cap. During the bonus, cascades light reels red instead of yellow, again starting from the leftmost reel. When all six glow red, a Reel King appears mid-feature and awards 1 to 3 extra spins plus 0 to 3 multiplier bumps.
After the Free Spin Trail completes, you may gamble on a 50/50 wheel (green increases your spin count; red reduces or forfeits the feature). The maths here is neutral over the long run, but a single red result can wipe the bonus before you enter it.
Design and Atmosphere
The art style is deliberate nostalgia: a 1990s arcade fruit-machine palette (blue and white panels, chunky reels, cartoon money bags and cherries) layered onto a modern Megaways grid. The Jester wild wears a three-pointed cap and grins from the top horizontal reel, while the Reel King himself is a tiny crowned character in a gold frame who spins his own mini-slot when summoned. Each Ding produces the exact chime lifted from the original land-based cabinet, and the red-reel flare during Free Spins adds urgency without clutter.
Demo Experience
The demo runs full feature logic at the 96.23% RTP build. You’ll see the Lit Reels meter fill, hear the Dings, and trigger the mini-slot Kings exactly as in real play. Free Spins multiplier behaviour is identical: it starts at ×1, climbs with every cascade, and never resets. The only limitation is that demo balance resets if you refresh, so extended testing of the ×50+ multiplier tail requires either patience or switching to a real session.
